Santoshini Dash, the former jailer of Choudwar Circle Jail in Odisha, has approached the National Commission for Women (NCW), alleging sexual harassment and intimidation by the former Director General of Prisons, Sushant Nath.
Seeking immediate intervention, Dash petitioned the apex women’s rights body for swift action and justice, citing safety concerns and ongoing harassment.
The move follows her formal police complaint previously lodged at Choudwar Police Station, where she accused the senior IPS officer of sexual harassment, intimidation, and misuse of official authority.
In her petition to the NCW, Dash requested urgent steps to ensure a fair and unhindered investigation, alleging severe professional and personal distress. The allegations come shortly after the Odisha government transferred Sushant Nath from his position following the registration of the FIR. The commission’s response is currently awaited.
