Ravindra Jadeja reached a historic milestone in Guwahati, becoming only the second Indian after Hardik Pandya to record 4000 runs and 200 wickets in T20 cricket.
His achievement came during Rajasthan Royals’ emphatic six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Rajasthan chased down RCB’s 201/8 with two overs to spare, powered by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s explosive 78 off 26 balls and Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten 81 off 43 balls. Jadeja’s role proved crucial when he partnered Jurel in an unbroken 68-run stand, stabilising the chase after quick dismissals of Sooryavanshi, Shimron Hetmyer, and Riyan Parag. His presence ensured composure and balance in the middle overs.
Earlier, RCB posted a competitive total with Rajat Patidar scoring 63 off 40 balls and Virat Kohli setting the tone at the top. A middle-order collapse slowed their momentum before a late flourish pushed them past 200. Rajasthan responded aggressively in the Powerplay, led by Sooryavanshi’s fearless hitting, which tilted the contest decisively.
Jurel carried the momentum through the middle and death overs, while Jadeja’s steady contribution sealed the chase. The all-rounder’s milestone added significance to the night, underlining his enduring value as one of India’s most complete cricketers. His entry into the elite T20 club highlighted consistency, longevity, and impact across formats.
