India Pharma 2026 will be held on April 13–14 at Federation House, FICCI, New Delhi, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, and global experts to discuss the future of pharmaceuticals.
The Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers, is organising the 9th edition in association with FICCI and the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance.
Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Minister of State Anupriya Patel will inaugurate the event. The theme, “Discover in India: Leapfrogging Life-Sciences Innovation,” emphasizes India’s vision of becoming a global pharma innovation hub. The conference will highlight research and development, supply chain resilience, and the role of life sciences in healthcare access and economic growth.
Distinguished participants include Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals; Punya Salila Srivastava, Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare; and Prof. Vinod K. Paul, Member, NITI Aayog. Eminent experts such as Dr Renu Swarup and Dr Shivkumar Kalyanaraman will share insights. Regulatory perspectives will be provided by DCGI Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, CDSCO’s Dr A. Visala, and Gregory Smith from the US FDA.
Industry leaders like Dilip Shanghvi of Sun Pharma, Pankaj Patel of Zydus Lifesciences, and Cipla’s Achin Gupta will join FICCI Pharma Committee members to discuss innovation and growth. The event will feature six plenary sessions covering policy thrust, regulatory ecosystems, AI-driven technologies, CRDMO potential, financing, and strategies to leapfrog innovation.
India Pharma 2026 aims to accelerate the sector’s transition from a volume-driven model to a value-led powerhouse, reinforcing India’s role as a global supplier of affordable, high-quality medicines.
