Ravenshaw University students in Cuttack staged a unique protest by holding classes on the street, demanding immediate repairs to unsafe classrooms.

Second-year students from the Department of Political Science sat on the road and continued their lessons, highlighting the deteriorating condition of their academic infrastructure. Faculty members joined the protest, teaching students in the open to emphasize the urgency of the issue.

The protest stemmed from repeated complaints about unsafe classrooms, which the administration allegedly ignored. Students claimed that despite raising the issue earlier, no action was taken to repair the damaged structures.

Faculty members supported the protest, stating that the condition of the classrooms posed risks to both students and teachers. They urged the university authorities to prioritize safety and learning conditions.

The students’ peaceful demonstration drew attention from passersby and local media, sparking conversations about infrastructure neglect in educational institutions. Many called for accountability and swift action from the university administration.

This protest reflects growing frustration among students over neglected facilities and the lack of response from authorities. Ravenshaw University, known for its legacy, now faces pressure to restore its classrooms and ensure a safe learning environment.
