As chants of “Jai Jagannath” echoed through the sacred streets of Puri, a gentle rain graced the skies, turning the Rath Yatra 2025 into a divine spectacle.
Devotees gathered in overwhelming numbers to witness the Pahandi Bije ritual, during which Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Mahaprabhu Jagannath were ceremonially escorted from the sanctum sanctorum to their majestic chariots.
This year, the divine moment was marked by a symbolic offering from nature itself—light showers during the procession, which many devotees interpreted as a celestial Pushpanjali or offering of flowers by the heavens. The cool breeze and sacred drizzle only heightened the spiritual atmosphere, making the experience unforgettable for the lakhs of devotees present.
As the Holy Trinity ascended their respective chariots—Taladhwaja, Darpadalana, and Nandighosa—the soft rain gradually subsided, almost as if the skies were bowing in reverence. Devotees stood motionless, many with folded hands and moist eyes, immersed in divine emotion and devotion.
More than just a ritual, the Rath Yatra once again affirmed its spiritual stature as a living experience of divinity, where not just mortals but even nature participates in welcoming the Lord of the Universe.
