The long-awaited official glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming magnum opus, Love & War, has finally been revealed.
Bhansali Productions, alongside co-stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, shared the actor’s striking first-look poster on social media, kicking off the promotional build-up for its release on January 21, 2027.
In the poster, Kapoor sports a sleek short buzz cut, dark glasses, and a plain white T-shirt behind the wheel of a vintage car. Adding an intriguing layer to his understated aesthetic, one of his hands firmly grips the steering wheel while the other appears visibly bruised and bloodied—hinting at the high-stakes conflict awaiting his character.

The poster was unveiled with the caption, “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!” Sharing the image on his handle, Vicky Kaushal wrote, “Here we go! RK… Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027. See you at the movies! #LoveAndWar.”

Love & War brings together Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in a lead trio for the first time. The project marks a major reunion for Kapoor and Bhansali nearly two decades after the actor made his debut in the filmmaker’s 2007 drama Saawariya. It also reunites Bhansali with Bhatt following their successful collaboration on Gangubai Kathiawadi.
While the lead trio hasn’t shared screen space together in a single film before, Kapoor and Kaushal previously co-starred in Sanju, while Bhatt and Kaushal led the 2018 hit Raazi.
Written by Bhansali alongside Ila Bedi Dutta, the period romantic war drama remains under tight wraps. However, reports suggest that Kapoor and Kaushal portray Indian Air Force officers whose destinies entwine with Bhatt’s character in a complex love triangle framed against the backdrop of war. Veteran actress Supriya Pathak also stars in a key role.
