To cater to the surge in passenger demand during the festive season, Indian Railways has announced the operation of Weekly Special Trains on two key routes: Sambalpur–Erode–Sambalpur and New Tinsukia–SMVT Bengaluru–New Tinsukia.
These services, running through November 2025, aim to provide a seamless and comfortable travel experience for passengers across the East Coast Railway zone.

Train No. 08311 Sambalpur–Erode Weekly Special Express will depart Sambalpur every Wednesday at 11:35 hrs until November 26, 2025. The return journey, Train No. 08312 Erode–Sambalpur Weekly Special, will leave Erode every Friday at 14:45 hrs until November 28, 2025. The train will halt at key stations including Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parvathipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram Jn, Kottavalasa, and Duvvada. The coach composition includes 1 2nd AC, 3 3rd AC, 9 Sleeper, 4 General, 2 Second Class Luggage cum Divyangjan, and 1 Kitchen/Pantry Car.
New Tinsukia–SMVT Bengaluru–New Tinsukia Weekly Special (05952/05951)
Train No. 05952 New Tinsukia–SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Special will depart New Tinsukia every Thursday at 18:45 hrs until October 30, 2025. The return service, Train No. 05951 SMVT Bengaluru–New Tinsukia Weekly Special, will leave SMVT Bengaluru every Sunday at 23:50 hrs until November 2, 2025. Stops include Bhadrak, Jajpur Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Balugaon, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Chipurupalle, Vizianagaram, Kottavalasa, and Duvvada. The train comprises 2 3rd AC, 16 Sleeper, and 2 Second Class with brake van and luggage coaches.
