Puri: Opposing the National Monument Authority (NMA)’s fresh recommendations on the construction of Srimandir Administrative building, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Thursday wrote to the Culture department urging it to take up the matter to the NMA.
The monument protection body, which had earlier allowed constructing G+2 building (12.19 metre height), has now made some changes. In its revised recommendation, the NMA suggested the SJTA to build the office building restricting height at 7.50 metre.
The SJTA office is currently functioning from a three storeyed building. If the new building is constructed as per the revised plan, it would be difficult to joint it with the old one, the SJTA said.
