Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder Shashank Singh has denied allegations of assaulting and verbally abusing a cook employed at his residence, calling the accusations “completely false” and presenting his version of the events after a police case was registered against him and his father.

The case was registered by Ratibad Police Station in Bhopal following a complaint filed by Vipendra Singh Tomar, who alleged that he was assaulted, verbally abused and mistreated during his brief stay at the cricketer’s home.

Complaint Filed Against Shashank Singh and His Father

According to the complaint, Vipendra Singh Tomar alleged that he was promised employment as a cook with a monthly salary, accommodation and food.

He further claimed that he was verbally abused, physically assaulted and made to pay for the meals he consumed during his stay.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case and began an investigation. Authorities have not announced any findings, and the matter remains under investigation.

Shashank Singh Rejects the Allegations

Responding to the accusations, Shashank Singh denied any wrongdoing by himself or his family.

The cricketer alleged that Tomar did not possess the cooking skills required for the job and claimed that his family became suspicious after noticing videos and photographs of private areas inside their home on the complainant’s mobile phone.

According to Shashank, the family asked Tomar to delete the images before asking him to leave.

He also alleged that some decorative items were found to be missing from the house, though he did not provide evidence linking the complainant to the missing belongings.

Cricketer Claims Background Check Raised Concerns

Shashank further alleged that a background verification later revealed information about the complainant’s past, including alleged drug use.

These claims have not been independently verified, and no official statement from the police has confirmed them.

The cricketer also denied allegations that he confiscated the complainant’s mobile phone or physically assaulted him.
