In protest against the attack on the Rajnagar Block Development Officer (BDO), hundreds of BJD workers and elected representatives today locked the Pattamundai Panchayat Office and staged a sit-in demonstration.
The protest drew participation from several panchayat representatives, including the Panchayat Samiti Chairperson, who extended support to the agitation. Demonstrators raised slogans such as “Give justice to the BDO” while holding placards outside the office.
Protesters demanded a thorough investigation into the incident and strict punishment for those responsible. They vowed to continue the agitation until justice is delivered.
The sit-in disrupted the normal functioning of the panchayat office, affecting routine administrative work and inconveniencing local residents. Meanwhile, the local administration is attempting to resolve the situation and restore order.
