President Droupadi Murmu will visit Ganjam district on August 4 as part of her Odisha tour. During the trip, she will offer prayers at the revered Maa Kandhuni Devi shrine located near the Taptapani hot spring in Sanakhemundi block’s T. Gobindpur panchayat.
The President is scheduled to have lunch at the shrine premises after her prayers. In anticipation of the visit, the district administration has launched a massive cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, repairing roads and sprucing up the temple surroundings.
Senior officials including the District Collector, SP, and electricity department staff have inspected the arrangements. Police have tightened security measures to ensure smooth proceedings.
