To strengthen the implementation of the PM SHRI Scheme, the Odisha School and Mass Education Department has appointed 30 senior officers as State Reviewers to oversee the performance of PM SHRI schools across the state.
The official order designates a panel comprising eight IAS officers, 13 OAS officers, one OFS officer, and eight OES officers. The team includes top education administrators such as the Director of SCERT, State Project Director of OSEPA, Director of Higher Secondary Education, Director of Secondary Education, Director of Elementary Education, Chairman of CHSE, and President of the Board of Secondary Education.
Each reviewer has been assigned one district to conduct periodic evaluations of PM SHRI schools. Their responsibilities include monitoring academic performance, teaching‑learning practices, infrastructure, governance, and overall implementation of the PM SHRI framework. The initiative emphasises 21 quality saturation indicators, improved learning outcomes, and comprehensive academic assessment in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Reviewers will undertake field visits, document achievements, highlight gaps, and submit detailed reports through the PM SHRI portal. The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has been tasked with creating portal profiles for all reviewers and coordinating the process through a dedicated nodal officer.
