President of India Droupadi Murmu, on a two-day visit to Odisha, on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed Kalinga Guest House within the premises of Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, First Lady of Odisha Smt. Jayashree Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly Smt. Surama Padhy, Odisha Law, Works & Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan and several other dignitaries and senior officials.
Nestled amid the lush green surroundings of Raj Bhavan, the Kalinga Guest House beautifully reflects Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and traditional Kalinga architecture. Both the exterior and interior feature classical Odia motifs, sculptures, and designs crafted by local artisans. Every room has been thoughtfully designed to showcase different facets of Odisha’s identity and cultural legacy.
The inauguration holds special significance as President Murmu herself had laid the foundation stone of this prestigious project during an earlier visit.
