Sambalpur: President Droupadi Murmu visited Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoi Abirbhaba Pitha and paid homage at the statue of Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoi in Madhupur of Sambalpur district today.
President Murmu left for Jharsuguda from Bhubaneswar in the morning and then proceeded to Rairakhol where she was welcomed by Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
She offered floral tributes to Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoi, the 19th-century saint, poet, and social reformer of the state. She paid homage to the legendary poet and saint at his statue. The president is also scheduled to attend several other programmes in Sambalpur on the concluding day of her Odisha visit.
