PM Modi Inaugurates Rs 58,000 Cr Worth of Development Projects in Amaravati

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 58,000 crore in Amaravati today.


The projects, aimed at bolstering Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure, emphasise advancements in transportation, defence, agriculture, technology, and cultural initiatives.

During the event, PM Modi highlighted Amaravati’s potential as a growth engine for India, emphasising the city’s role in fostering innovation in IT, AI, Green Energy, Clean Industry, Education, and Healthcare. He also praised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for his vision in accelerating development efforts.

Key Announcements:

  • Infrastructure Boom: Seven national highway projects inaugurated, enhancing road connectivity and reducing congestion.
  • Railway Expansion: Major railway upgrades, including electrification and modernisation of 70 stations.
  • Defence Strengthening: Foundation stone laid for DRDO’s Nava Durga Testing Range, improving missile testing capabilities.
  • Farmers’ Welfare: Renewed focus on irrigation projects, including the Polavaram Project, ensuring water security for farmers.
  • Cultural Promotion: PM Ekta Mall announced in Visakhapatnam to boost local artisans and national integration.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to Andhra Pradesh’s progress, urging sustained momentum in its transformation into a modern, developed state.

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of PM Ekta Mall at Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam. It has been envisioned with the objective of fostering national integration, supporting the Make in India initiative, promoting One District One Product, generating employment opportunities, empowering rural artisans, and enhancing the market presence of indigenous products.
