The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday served a summons to former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in connection with the ongoing Cochin Mineral and Rutile Limited (CMRL)-Exalogic payoff case.
ED officials pasted the official notice outside the veteran CPI(M) leader’s rented residence in Thiruvananthapuram. The probe agency has directed the Opposition leader to appear before its officials on Oct 23 at 11 AM to give evidence and present relevant documents related to the case.
The developments mark a significant step in the high-profile investigation into alleged financial transactions between CMRL and Exalogic Solutions. Authorities have asked the former Chief Minister to produce specified records to assist in the ongoing inquiry into the matter.
