In a major development, Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena confirmed on Saturday that a Pakistani national residing within the UPD Bhubaneswar jurisdiction has been served a Leave India notice.
This action follows a government order issued yesterday revoking various visa categories for Pakistani nationals across the country.
Speaking to reporters, DCP Meena stated, “The Government of India passed an order revoking different visas granted to Pakistani nationals. This was communicated to the state government, which in turn directed all district-level officials to take the necessary steps.”
Following a thorough verification of records, authorities identified a Pakistani citizen in Bhubaneswar. The individual was promptly served a notice and issued an exit permit, mandating their departure from India by April 27, 2025.
Police officials have ensured that all procedures have been followed in accordance with the government’s directive, and monitoring is underway to ensure compliance.
