The United States has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 people lost their lives.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director Kash Patel expressed deep sorrow, calling it a “reminder of the constant threats our world faces from the evils of terrorism.”
In a post on X, Patel said, “The FBI sends our condolences to all the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Kashmir — and will continue offering our full support to the Indian government. Pray for those affected. Thank you to the men and women of law enforcement who answer the call in moments like these.”
The brutal attack has triggered global outrage, with leaders across the world extending solidarity with India.
US President Donald Trump personally spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 23, expressing his deepest condolences.
“President Donald Trump called PM Narendra Modi and conveyed his deepest condolences at the loss of innocent lives. He strongly condemned the terror attack and assured full support to India in bringing the perpetrators to justice,” said MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.
Both leaders reaffirmed the strong India-US partnership in the fight against terrorism.
