The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has officially announced the date for the much-awaited Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2026.
According to Notification No. 2125/Exam Conf.-1 dated 27 July 2026, the examination will be conducted on Wednesday, 30 September 2026. In a major update that will ease preparation pressure for candidates, both Paper-I and Paper-II will be held in a single sitting from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
This combined format means candidates will no longer have to appear on separate days or sessions for the two papers — a significant change that many aspirants have been hoping for.
The official notification states that detailed instructions, guidelines, and the schedule for online application registration will be published soon.
OSSTET is a mandatory eligibility test for candidates aspiring to become teachers in secondary schools (Classes 9–10) across the state. Qualifying this exam is a crucial step for thousands of teaching job seekers in Odisha every year.
With the exam date now locked in, candidates are advised to start structured preparation immediately and keep a close watch on the official BSE Odisha website (bseodisha.ac.in) for the release of the detailed notification, syllabus, and application window.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
