With the deadline just six days away, Odisha’s ambitious Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has entered its most critical phase.

Authorities are racing to complete the exercise by June 28, aiming to deliver one of the cleanest and most accurate voter lists in the state’s history.

As of today, enumeration forms have reached an impressive 99.86% of voters — covering 3,33,51,967 eligible citizens across the state. Booth-level officers are now in overdrive, personally reaching out to the remaining voters to ensure no one is left out.

At the same time, the digitisation drive — key to making the entire process transparent and error-free — has crossed 86.12%, with details of 2,87,63,417 voters already successfully uploaded into the system. The remaining forms are being digitised on a war footing.

The Special Intensive Revision is not just another routine update. It is a massive exercise to remove duplicates, correct errors, and add missing eligible voters, ultimately creating a more reliable electoral roll for future elections.

Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha has made a direct appeal to citizens: If you haven’t submitted your enumeration form yet, do it before June 28. You can either hand it over to your Booth Level Officer or submit it online through the ECINET portal.

“Every single form counts,” the CEO emphasised. “Your timely submission will help us build a truly accurate and up-to-date voter list for Odisha.”With only six days left, district administrations, Electoral Registration Officers, and Booth Level Officers have been directed to work around the clock to achieve 100% coverage.

Voters are urged not to wait till the last moment. A few minutes today could ensure your name is correctly reflected in the final electoral roll.
