Odisha is on the verge of completing one of its most ambitious electoral exercises — the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists — with only four days remaining.

The state has already achieved near-total coverage, distributing enumeration forms to 99.93% of voters and digitising the complete data of over 3.10 crore electors.

According to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, enumeration forms have reached 3 crore 33 lakh 7 thousand 545 voters across the state. This massive door-to-door exercise has covered nearly every eligible citizen, leaving only a tiny fraction to be reached in the final push.

Alongside form distribution, the administration has prioritised accuracy through large-scale digitisation. So far, 93.02% of voter data — covering the full details of 3 crore 10 lakh 68 thousand 884 electors — has been successfully digitised, ensuring greater transparency and reducing errors in the final electoral roll.

To strengthen coordination at the grassroots level, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents held a special meeting today across all Assembly constituencies. The objective: ensure no eligible voter is left out and that the revision process remains smooth, inclusive, and error-free.The CEO’s office has made it clear that the remaining work will be completed on a war-footing basis over the next four days. Officials credit the remarkable progress to the dedication of field staff and the enthusiastic cooperation of the people.

The ultimate goal remains unchanged — to deliver a clean, transparent, accurate, and updated voter list that strengthens Odisha’s democratic process.
