Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 52nd meeting of PRAGATI today at Seva Teerth, reaffirming his government’s commitment to proactive governance, timely project execution, and citizen-centric solutions.

In a focused review, the Prime Minister examined four major infrastructure projects worth nearly Rs 30,000 crore spanning the Road, Power, Industrial Corridor, and Metro Rail sectors across four states. Highlighting that delays not only escalate costs but also deny timely benefits to people and industries, PM Modi directed Ministries and State Governments to adopt a mission-mode approach for resolving pending issues and ensuring rigorous monitoring.

The Prime Minister laid special emphasis on the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan, urging regular and accurate updation of project data, utilities, clearances, and ground-level information on the portal. “The platform must reflect the real-time situation on the ground so that bottlenecks can be spotted early and decisions taken on reliable data,” he said.

PM Modi also reviewed the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and called for greater use of cutting-edge digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to accelerate India’s journey towards eliminating tuberculosis. He suggested involving NCC cadets and MY Bharat volunteers in awareness drives, patient follow-up, and community mobilisation.

Expressing serious concern over the rising menace of cyber fraud and “digital arrest” scams, the Prime Minister stressed the need for coordinated, sensitive, and time-bound action. He directed all stakeholders — law enforcement agencies, banks, and digital platforms — to work in unison with clear ownership and faster response mechanisms. “Citizens should not be forced to run from pillar to post,” he remarked, while asking states to implement e-Zero FIR mechanisms for swift registration and resolution of cybercrime complaints. He also called for stronger public awareness campaigns to protect people from digital fraudsters.

The 52nd PRAGATI meeting once again showcased the government’s use of technology and integrated platforms to drive efficient governance, remove bottlenecks, and deliver tangible results for citizens.
