The Department of Higher Education, Odisha, has announced an extension of the first-round UG admission deadline for the academic year 2025–26.

As per the latest notice, eligible students can now complete their admission formalities until 3 PM on June 21.

This extension provides a vital window for students who have either not paid their admission fees or failed to report to their respective colleges. The department has clarified that students can use this extended period to fulfil pending requirements without penalty.

Importantly, students who have been allotted seats in the first round can also exercise their admission preferences using the Freeze, Slide, and Float options during this timeframe. These options allow them to either retain their current seat, upgrade based on choices, or shift to another preferred option if available.

Officials have urged students to make use of this extended window and ensure timely reporting and payment to avoid disqualification from subsequent rounds.
