The second day of the Odisha State Youth Festival at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium buzzed with energy as various competitions unfolded, showcasing the talents of young participants from across Odisha.
Sports and Youth Services Minister Suryabanshi Suraj graced the folk dance and speech contests, motivating all involved with his presence and words of encouragement. He also toured the science fair, engaging with students to learn about their innovative projects on display.
Minister Suraj expressed delight at the high levels of interest and enthusiasm among the competitors, extending his best wishes for their bright futures. He emphasised that the festival serves not only as a platform for talent development but also as a crucial avenue for nurturing youth leadership in the state.
The three-day event, running from December 24 to 26, has drawn over 800 promising young men and women from various districts, competing in diverse categories. The standout performers from this festival will go on to represent Odisha at the national-level “Viksit Bharat Youth Leadership Dialogue” in the coming days, highlighting the state’s commitment to empowering its youth.
