Odisha launches a major infrastructure initiative to modernise Collectorate buildings across all districts. Officials finalise plans to construct new offices based on a unified model design and estimate.
The Revenue and Disaster Management Department, along with senior officials from the Works Department, reviews proposals for new Collectorate buildings, a Special Circuit House in Bhubaneswar, and a new Revenue & RDC building in Cuttack.
Each new Collectorate will include the Headquarter Sub-Collector’s office. Authorities divide districts into three categories—large, medium, and small—based on population and administrative needs.
Large districts will receive Collectorate buildings on 1.7 lakh square feet of land. Medium districts will use 1.4 lakh square feet, while small districts will get 1 lakh square feet for construction.
Officials also approve the construction of a ten-storey Special Circuit House in Bhubaneswar. The facility will include a gym, library, and both one-BHK and two-BHK accommodations for visiting dignitaries and officials.
The meeting, chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue & DM Department, emphasises timely execution and adherence to the model plan.
The government aims to streamline administrative infrastructure and improve service delivery through this initiative.
