In a quick administrative move to optimise police deployment, the Odisha Police has transferred two Inspectors from the Police Commissionerate to key districts.
According to Office Order No. 2509/Pers-I dated 07.07.2026, issued by the DIG of Police (Personnel), Odisha, Kataka, by order of the DGP and pending approval of the Police Establishment Board (PEB), the following transfers have been effected on administrative grounds, keeping in view vacancy positions and the exigency of public service:
- Inspector Bhagyashree Swain — from Police Commissionerate to Kendrapada
- Inspector Sashikanta Rout — from Police Commissionerate to Baragada
Both officers have been directed to be relieved from their current postings immediately.
The order has been forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters), Bhubaneswar-Kataka, Superintendents of Police of Kendrapada and Baragada, and other senior officers for necessary action.
