Bhubaneswar: In order to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination drive, the Odisha Government has issued guidance on vaccination at both Government & Private Workplace.
The Additional Chief Secretary (Health) has written to all Collector, Commissioners of five Municipal Corporations and CDMs & PHOs in this regard.
Phase 3 COVID-19 vaccination drive for 18 to 44 years age group started in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation area from 1S1 May 2021 and subsequently, Cuttack, Berhampur, Rourkela & Sambalpur from 11th May.
Under liberalized Pricing and Accelerated National Covid-19 Vaccination Strategy, Private Hospitals can Procure vaccine directly from the manufacturer to vaccinate 18-44 Years and 45 years & above citizens.
Similarly, Industrial Establishment can vaccinate their employees and family members in their Hospitals by procuring vaccines of their own or if Hospital Is not available, they can vaccinate their employee and family members in a workplace tagging with Private Hospital CVC.
To accelerate the Covid-19 vaccination drive, following clarification has been Issued by MoHFW: –
·        The family members and dependents of the workers, as defined by the respective employers, can also be covered with COVID-19 vaccination at the industrial CVCs, Private Workplace CVCs and the Govt. workplace CVCs,
·        For Industrial CVCs and Private Workplace CVCs, for covering the beneficiaries Employee and family members), the vaccine doses will have to be procured by the private hospitals or the industrial establishment with whom respective employer tie-up for vaccination.
·        For Govt. Workplace CVC, beneficiaries 45 years & above may be covered through Govt. of India vaccine supply and 18-44 years age group may be covered through State Govt vaccine supply.
The Health ACSÂ further requested to inform concerned officials and plan for vaccination of the employees and their family members (18-44 years) by creating work place CVCs in CoWIN as per feasibility and similarly inform Industrial establishment/Private Hospitals on workplace vaccination.
