Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has made a significant announcement regarding the increase in dearness allowance (DA) for government employees.

The DA has been raised by 2%, bringing it from 53% to 55%. This increase will be implemented retrospectively starting from January 1, 2025, and will be disbursed in cash along with April’s salary.

In addition, a 2% hike in the TI (Temporary Increase) for pensioners has also been declared. Pensioners will similarly benefit from this rise, receiving it as part of their April pension.

Approximately 8.5 lakh government employees and pensioners are set to benefit from these revisions. The announcement has been widely welcomed, as it promises to improve the financial stability and quality of life for many across the state.
