The Government of Odisha has ordered the transfer and posting of 29 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers in a significant administrative reshuffle.
The move was announced through a notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, aiming to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
Focus on District and Grassroots Administration
The latest reshuffle primarily affects officers serving as Sub-Collectors, Deputy Collectors, and Tahasildars. The transfers span multiple districts, including Balasore, Angul, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Ganjam, Kandhamal, and Sambalpur.
Most of the officers have been reassigned to Tahasildar roles, highlighting the government’s focus on strengthening grassroots administration, land management, and public service access at the local level.

The Revenue and Disaster Management Department stated that the reshuffle is part of a routine administrative process designed to ensure efficiency, transparency, and accountability in governance.
