The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), the country’s premier travel and tourism association, honored Smt. Pravati Parida, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister & Minister of W&CD, Mission Shakti & Tourism, with the prestigious Scroll of Honour Award.


This recognition acknowledges her exceptional leadership in promoting the travel and tourism industry in Odisha and her commitment to empowering women in the sector.

Smt. Pravati Parida made history as the first woman to hold the position of Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, marking a significant milestone in the state’s political and social landscape.

The award presentation was held at The Ashok, New Delhi, as part of TAAI’s Women of Wonder (WOW) Awards 2025, a landmark initiative celebrating women pioneers shaping the future of travel, tourism, and hospitality.

Smt Sucharita Sarangi, Officer from Odisha Bhavan, New Delhi received the prestigious Scroll of Honour Award on behalf of Deputy CM Parida.

Expressing his appreciation, TAAI President Mr. Sunil Kumar R acknowledged Smt. Parida’s contributions, stating, “Her leadership and dedication in fostering tourism in Odisha are truly commendable. As TAAI approaches 75 years of excellence, it is an honor to recognize trailblazers who drive positive change in our industry.”

In her acceptance speech, Smt. Pravati Parida remarked, “I am deeply humbled by this recognition from TAAI, an association that has led the industry for 75 years. Odisha is committed to advancing tourism while empowering women in the travel sector. I remain dedicated to promoting the rich heritage of our state and contributing to the growth of the industry.”

The WOW Awards 2025 underscores TAAI’s commitment to recognizing and empowering women leaders who have significantly impacted the travel and hospitality industry. This celebration marks a key moment in TAAI’s journey as it prepares to commemorate 75 years of excellence in fostering growth and innovation in India’s travel and tourism landscape.
