Odisha Police have intensified security measures in Mayurbhanj district ahead of the visit of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania reached Mayurbhanj on Thursday to personally review the arrangements and ensure a smooth and secure visit.
The DGP inspected key routes, venues, and coordination points with local police and district administration. Senior officers briefed him on deployment plans, crowd management strategies, and emergency response systems.
Police teams have strengthened surveillance and traffic control across sensitive zones. Additional forces have been mobilised to manage public gatherings and maintain law and order during the President’s stay.
Officials confirmed that the President Murmu Mayurbhanj visit security plan includes multi‑layered protection, communication monitoring, and coordination with intelligence units. The DGP directed officers to maintain vigilance and ensure seamless movement throughout the itinerary.
