Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday, praising his leadership and expressing gratitude for his support for Odisha and its development.
In a post on X, Majhi described Modi as a symbol of public service and said his leadership had ushered in what he termed a new chapter of national awakening.
“Jai Jagannath!” the Chief Minister began his message, extending greetings to the Prime Minister on behalf of the people of Odisha.
Majhi praises Modi’s leadership
Majhi said Modi’s “far-sighted leadership” had contributed to a new chapter of development across the country.
He also highlighted what he described as the Prime Minister’s affection for Odisha and the Centre’s support for infrastructure development in the state.
The Chief Minister said Odisha remained grateful for Modi’s cooperation in advancing the state’s development.
‘Seva Sankalp Parva’ being observed
Majhi said Odisha was observing ‘Seva Sankalp Parva’ on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday, inspired by Modi’s public-welfare-oriented ideals.
He said the state government was reaffirming its commitment to public service, welfare of the poor and ensuring that people at the last mile benefit from development.
Majhi also expressed his resolve to work towards building a prosperous, empowered and developed Odisha.
Wishes long life and good health
In his message, the Chief Minister prayed to Lord Jagannath for Modi’s long life, good health and blessings.
He expressed the hope that the Prime Minister’s long public life would continue to provide new direction to the country.
Majhi also wished for the realisation of the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ under Modi’s leadership and for India to continue progressing globally.
