During his address, Majhi declared that a true industrial revolution has begun in Odisha, promising it will transform the state’s direction and destiny. He outlined a roadmap for economic growth, noting that Odisha’s economy currently stands at USD 120 billion and will reach USD 500 billion by 2036. To achieve this fivefold growth, he emphasised the need to focus on infrastructure, industry, and skill development.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the government has already invested ₹2 lakh crore, laid the foundation for 84 industries, and created over 1.64 lakh jobs. In addition, he pointed to major projects in the pipeline from Vedanta Group, Adani, JSW, Indian Oil, and Zoho Group. New investments in textiles and green energy, he said, will further accelerate progress. Both the central and state governments continue to strengthen infrastructure in roads, railways, ports, and airports, while industry associations like UCCIL extend strong support.

Majhi also announced plans to transform Bhubaneswar into a mega tech city for the eastern region. Fintech and insurtech companies, IT majors, and two semiconductor industries already operate in the city. He added that the Capital Region Ring Road project will expand the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar twin city.

Industry and Skill Development Minister Sampad Chandra Swain remarked that Odisha has emerged as a state of immense potential within a year. Youth employment and industrial growth, he noted, are driving this transformation. Praising the Chief Minister’s initiatives, Swain credited them for sparking Odisha’s industrial revolution.

On the occasion, Majhi unveiled the ‘Samruddha Odisha 2036’ souvenir prepared by UCCIL. The event drew participation from Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Additional Chief Secretary Hemant Sharma, UCCIL President Dr Prabodh Mohanty, Conclave Chairman Dr Brahma Mishra, Dand RDO DG Dr B.K. Das, and several leading industrialists.
