Odisha’s Chief Secretary, Anu Garg, IAS, today launched the Odisha State e-Pavilion on MSME Global Mart, a dedicated digital platform aimed at providing Odisha’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) greater visibility and enhanced access to national and international markets.
This was formally launched by Chief Secretary Smt. Garg (IAS), in the presence of Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman & Managing Director of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).
At the outset, CMD, NSIC Dr. Acharya, called on the Chief Secretary, apprised and deliberated on collaborative measures for strengthening the MSME ecosystem in Odisha.
During the discussions, Dr. Acharya briefed on various flagship initiatives of NSIC, including the aspirational initiatives of the Govt. of India like National SC‑ST Hub Scheme, TEAM Initiative, SRI Fund, etc. A brief on the recently launched MSME Global Mart 2.0 and efforts to connect MSMEs of Odisha to the market were discussed.
Both sides agreed on the convergence of efforts of NSIC and Govt of Odisha with an objective to make the MSMEs of the state more competitive and connected to the market. Towards this end, CS stressed a “Government as a Whole” approach to facilitate digital enablement, inclusive procurement, and enhanced market access for Odisha’s MSMEs.
The State e‑Pavilion will serve as a dedicated digital showcase of Odisha’s MSMEs, including ODOP products, GI‑tagged items, clusters, and artisan enterprises, thereby providing them structured access to national and international digital commerce opportunities.
The initiative is expected to significantly enhance the visibility, competitiveness, and inclusivity of Odisha’s MSMEs, while aligning with the broader vision of Digital India, Make in India, and Vocal for Local.
