Ahead of the Odisha Assembly session beginning September 22, the state police have drawn up a three‑tier security plan with the deployment of 30 platoons of force.
Director General of Police (DGP) reviewed the arrangements along with the Commissioner of Police and Additional Commissioner, focusing on crowd management, sensitive installations, and law‑and‑order preparedness.
The session is expected to witness heightened activity, with police instructed to maintain strict vigilance in and around the Assembly premises. Barricades, access control, and surveillance systems will be reinforced to ensure smooth conduct of proceedings.
Officials confirmed that the deployment plan includes personnel from multiple units, with layered security covering entry points, Assembly corridors, and surrounding public areas.
