In a significant high-level review meeting today, Odisha’s Minister for Works, Law & Excise, Prithviraj Harichandan, chaired a crucial session focused on accelerating infrastructure development across the state through the transformative PM Gati Shakti portal.

The meeting, held at Lok Seva Bhawan, emphasised maximising the use of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan to ensure timely and high-quality execution of infrastructure projects.

Minister Harichandan stressed the need for seamless coordination between central and state departments to simplify approval processes and fast-track project implementation.

Principal Secretary, Works Department, Sanjay Kumar Singh, highlighted that the Gati Shakti portal is set to play a game-changing role in Odisha’s overall development. He noted its potential to revolutionise the planning and execution of modern roads, bridges, and buildings through integrated multi-modal connectivity.

Detailed discussions were held on upcoming infrastructure projects, road alignments, multi-modal connectivity networks, and the preparation of detailed project reports using the Gati Shakti platform. Officials also reviewed key projects slated for foundation stone laying and inauguration during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Odisha.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including OBCC Managing Director Anupam Saha, EIC & Special Secretary L.K. Padhi, Finance Advisor Ratikanta Mahapatra, and several Chief Engineers and senior engineers of the Works Department.
