Cuttack: Jajpur MLA and BJD General Secretary Pranab Prakash Das was elected unopposed as the president of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Friday. As per the earlier decision, Das filed nomination today alone for the coveted post.
Similarly, Sanjay Behera and Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, who had filed the nominations for the post of General secretary and vice-president, faced no rivals in the elections and were elected unopposed to their respective posts.
Bikash Pradhan was elected as Treasurer as he was the sole candidate for the post.
The filing of nomination papers for the election to various posts of OCA was held from 10.30 am to 5 pm on Friday.
Apart from these three posts, there may be elections for the posts of Joint Secretary, Treasurer, and one Member. But it is not clear who will be nominated for these positions.
