New Delhi: Amid allegations of entrance exam irregularities, the National Testing Agency (NTA) asserted on Sunday that its website and all related web portals are completely secure.
The NTA refuted claims of security breaches as incorrect and misleading. “NTA website and all its web portals are fully secure. Any information that has been compromised and hacked is wrong and misleading,” stated the NTA in a post on X.
The NTA is under scrutiny for suspected irregularities in organising the 2024 National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance-Test (NEET) (UG). The controversy has sparked nationwide outrage, and opposition parties are calling for the dismantling of the testing agency. The situation escalated when 67 candidates scored a perfect 720 out of 720, raising further doubts.
Amidst these allegations, the Centre cancelled the NEET-PG exam just before its rescheduled date and annulled the UGC-NET exam held on June 18. In response to the protests, the Centre has dismissed the NTA’s Director General and established an expert committee to guarantee examination transparency.
