The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 began on December 30, 2025, at the Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt, with the traditional “Sarv Dharm Pooja.”

The month-long camp opened with vibrant energy and will feature several inter-directorate competitions and events such as the Best Cadet Competition, Small Arms Firing, Flag Area Designing, and the Marching Contingent during the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path.

This year, a record 2,406 cadets, including 898 girl cadets, have joined from 28 states and eight Union Territories. Moreover, cadets and officers from 25 Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) will participate under the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), adding a global dimension to the celebrations.

Speaking at the inauguration, Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, Director General NCC, welcomed the cadets and congratulated them on their selection for the prestigious camp. Furthermore, he urged them to uphold the highest qualities of character, integrity, selfless service, comradeship, and teamwork, transcending barriers of religion, language, and caste in the true spirit of “Nation First.”

In addition, the Republic Day Camp continues to uphold the NCC motto of “Unity and Discipline.” It brings together cadets from across India, offering opportunities for training, cultural exchange, and leadership development. Finally, the camp instils a deep sense of patriotism and discipline, preparing cadets to serve the nation with pride and responsibility.
