Jagatsinghpur and Nuapada registered the highest temperature at 39°C, while Paralakhemundi recorded the lowest at 21.4°C. Southern Odisha saw a drop in maximum temperatures, while northern coastal districts experienced a rise. Overall, temperatures remain above normal.

The Met Centre forecasted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms across most districts for the next week. An orange warning has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, and Nayagarh on Friday and Saturday. Winds of 40–50 kmph are expected.

Other districts remain under a yellow warning. Heavy rainfall may occur in Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri. Farmers have been advised to stay alert during thunderstorms and strong winds.

Regional Met Director Manorama Mohanty said the monsoon activity will continue, benefiting agriculture and water resources, but requiring caution against lightning and storms.
