Mitra Cafe, the legendary culinary brand with a heritage of over a century, inaugurated its much-anticipated outlet in Bhubaneswar today amidst grand festivities and enthusiastic participation. The new outlet, located on KIIT Road in Patia, represents another milestone in the brand’s expansion journey beyond West Bengal.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, food lovers, loyal patrons, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the occasion. The vibrant event showcased the deep cultural and gastronomic connection that Mitra Cafe has cultivated across generations. The hosts expressed heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their overwhelming support and warm wishes.

Established in 1910 by Sushil Chandra Roy to honour a cherished friendship, Mitra Cafe is a symbol of Kolkata’s iconic ‘cabin culture.’ Today, the brand is led by his son, Mr. Tapash Roy, Director of Mitra Cafe, who continues to uphold its legacy. Known for its signature Bengali, Indian, Chinese, and Tandoori dishes, Mitra Cafe has built a devoted fan base that spans various regions.

“This inauguration marks an important milestone in our journey,” said a spokesperson for Mitra Cafe. “Bhubaneswar is a city that values quality food and cultural heritage, and we are excited to serve this wonderful community.”

The new restaurant is located at Plot No: 516/1769, 1st Floor, KIIT Road, Above Mochi Showroom, Patia, Bhubaneswar and will open its doors to the public on May 16, 2025. With its authentic flavours and warm hospitality, Mitra Cafe promises to offer an exceptional dining experience that blends tradition with taste.

Following successful expansions to Puri and Bengaluru, the Bhubaneswar outlet marks a significant step in Mitra Cafe’s pan-India presence. Food enthusiasts are invited to be part of this glorious culinary legacy and savour the timeless flavours of Kolkata, now available in the heart of Odisha’s capital.
