Bhubaneswar: No place in Odisha has recorded maximum temperature over 40 °C on Saturday and the maximum day temperature in the state has decreased.
The Met Office said in its latest report that the maximum day temperature in the state is likely to fall by 2-3 °C at many places in the next 24 hours. However, it will rise up to 3-4 °C in the next 4-5 days in most districts of the state.
The IMD further said there will be no appreciable changes in the minimum night temperature over 4-5 days and added that light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers will occur at a few places over the districts of Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jaipur and Bhadrak.
The report said Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam districts will also experience light rains.
Dry weather is very likely to occur over the rest of the districts in the state, the IMD bulletin said.
