Baliguda: An armed group of Maoists set ablaze five vehicles belonging to a private construction company in Kandhamal’s Baliguda area.
According to police, about 20 to 25 Maoists attacked a private construction company’s camp office involved in the construction work of a road from Kateribhata Chhak to Pipali.
On the other hand, the red rebels have released posters calling for support to their 12-hour bandh in protest against death of woman Maoist cadre in an encounter.
Reportedly, the Maoists have also killed a person suspecting him to be a police informer at Kateribhata village under Baliguda police limits in the district on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Nilakanta Mallick.
