Bhubaneswar: Several districts of the State will witness heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, informed the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre.
According to reports, a low pressure area is likely to form over westcentral Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours. A cyclonic circulation lies over eastcentral and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal and extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level.
Under its influence, several districts will witness heavy rainfall for the next few days.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall ( 7 to 20 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur.
Heavy rainfall ( 7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Malkangiri and Nuapada.
Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.09.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 11.09.2022).
Heavy to very heavy rainfall ( 7 to 20 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Khordha, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur.
