The Fourth Session of the Eighteenth Lok Sabha concluded today, achieving an impressive productivity rate of 118%, according to Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla.
The session, spanning 26 sittings over 160 hours and 48 minutes, was marked by substantial legislative accomplishments and engaging discussions.
Among the major highlights, the Vote of Thanks on the President’s Address saw active participation from 173 members, lasting over 17 hours. Similarly, the General Discussion on the Union Budget 2025-26 engaged 169 members and spanned 16 hours and 13 minutes. In total, 10 government bills were introduced, and 16 were passed, including significant bills like the Finance Bill, 2025, and the Immigration and Foreigners Bill, 2025.
The House also broke records during Zero Hour, with 202 Matters of Public Importance raised on April 3. Additionally, international relations were strengthened with visits from parliamentary delegations of Russia, Maldives, and Madagascar.
