Television viewers are set for a major prime-time shuffle as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 prepares to bid farewell.
Premiering in 2025 and successfully marking Smriti Irani’s much-anticipated return to television acting, the family drama carved a strong niche for itself over the past year. Featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Amar Upadhyay, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, and Shakti Anand, the show will air its final episodes later this month.
Taking over the coveted 10:30 PM slot starting Oct 21, the upcoming supernatural fantasy thriller Apsara will replace the veteran drama. Produced by Mukta Dhond, the new series stars Samiksha Jaiswal and Paras Kalnawat in lead roles, alongside an expansive cast featuring Adaa Khan, Avika Gor, Anushka Merchande, and Mona Vasu.
The narrative centres around Sunehri (played by Samiksha Jaiswal), an empowered Apsara entrusted with the formidable duty of guarding the sacred Amrit from dark, malevolent forces while protecting her loved ones.
Elaborating on her character, Jaiswal noted that Sunehri represents a modern-day celestial warrior who navigates fear and deep emotional bonds to emerge as her own hero. With high production values and an intense plot involving ancient powers, Apsara aims to captivate audiences as the network’s next big fantasy spectacle.
