In a strict action against dereliction of duty, Kendujhar District Superintendent of Police (SP) Kusalkar Nitin Dagudu has suspended Parto Oram, the In-Charge of the Saharpada Police Outpost under Patna Police Station limits.
As per the official directive, officers were mandated to enforce the blockade in two shifts on Saturday: from 10 AM to 2 PM in the morning and from 6 PM to midnight. However, Saharpada Outpost In-Charge Parto Oram allegedly cut his duty short, wrapping up the morning blockade at 1 PM—an hour ahead of schedule—and returning to the police station.
The breach came to light during an unannounced inspection when the Kendujhar SP, traveling toward Saharpada from the Karanjia route, noticed the absence of security personnel and active checks at the designated point. Citing defiance of official orders and grave negligence during a critical security operation, the SP immediately placed Parto Oram under suspension.
Additionally, Patna Police Station Inspector In-Charge (IIC) Kiran Prasad Sahu has been summoned to the district police headquarters in connection with the incident as investigations into the breach continue.
