Maa Gadachandi is another prominent Shaktipitha (revered shrine) of Cuttack. Currently, the 16-day elaborate ritual worship (Shodasha Upachara Puja) of the Goddess is underway.
Today marks the fourth day of this 16-day worship ritual for Maa Gadachandi. On this day, the Goddess is giving darshan (blessings) to her devotees in the sacred Bhubaneswari Besha (attire).
A large congregation of devotees has gathered at the temple premises to witness the deity in this special attire. Following the Mangala Alati (morning prayer) at 5:30 AM, doors were opened for devotees to offer their prayers and view the Goddess.
This video covers the traditional Shodashopachar Puja and special Besha rituals of Maa Gadachandi in Cuttack during the festive season.
