Popular playback singer Kanika Kapoor has announced her separation from husband Gautam Hathiramani after four years of marriage.
Sharing the update via an Instagram Story, the “Baby Doll” hitmaker wrote, “Dear friends and family, after much thought and consideration, my husband and I are going our separate ways. I am grateful for the time we shared and wish him well for the future. I sincerely ask for kindness and respect for our privacy as we move forward.”

The couple, who had been close friends for nearly 15 years before dating, tied the knot in May 2022 during a lavish ceremony in London. Kanika had previously revealed that Gautam proposed in August 2021 after she had playfully asked him twice to marry her over the years.
This marks Kanika’s second marriage. She was earlier married to businessman Raj Chandok from 1998 to 2012, with whom she shares three children: daughters Aayana and Samara, and son Yuvraaj. Following her first divorce, she moved back to India to pursue music.
Kanika catapulted to fame in 2014 with Baby Doll from Ragini MMS 2 and Lovely from Happy New Year. She subsequently delivered massive chartbusters like Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan (Roy), Desi Look (Ek Paheli Leela), and Da Da Dasse (Udta Punjab).
