Veteran actor Kamal Haasan is set to collaborate with Veera Dheera Sooran director SU Arun Kumar for a raw, realistic action entertainer, which is reportedly titled Sandiyar.
According to reports by Valai Pechu, a promotional photoshoot has already been wrapped up, and the official title along with the first-look poster is expected to drop on the actor’s birthday.
The project is slated to begin filming in November and will be shot entirely across Madurai to retain a rooted atmosphere. Departing from heavy visual effects, the film will feature Kamal Haasan in a short-haired look without any CGI de-ageing or traditional dance sequences. A middle-aged actress is expected to star opposite him as the female lead.
While official confirmation from the makers is still awaited, this update comes amidst fan curiosity surrounding his previously announced action project, tentatively titled KH237, with the stunt-choreographer duo Anbariv.
On the work front, Kamal Haasan was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life. His upcoming pipeline remains packed with high-profile releases, including a highly anticipated collaboration with Rajinikanth directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2, and Shankar’s vigilante saga Indian 3.
